Yoga Therapy Program
A Short-Term Yoga Therapy Program for Emotional Wellness
At Yoga Pointe, we know that emotional healing isn’t about fixing what's broken—it's about coming home to yourself. We are offering personalized yoga therapy sessions for those navigating stress, anxiety, or mild to moderate depression. This is your invitation to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with your strength.
Through personalized sessions with Jana, a Yoga Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you’ll explore a blend of movement, breath, mindfulness, and deep rest—meeting your body and emotions with compassion and kindheartedness. Each session is adapted to your unique needs and intentions. While Jana’s counseling background informs and guides her approach, the focus will remain on the practices and principles of Yoga Therapy.
What Yoga Therapy Is (and How It Differs from Classes or Private Yoga):
Personalized healing approach – sessions are tailored to your emotional and physical needs, focusing on wellness goals rather than general practice or performance.
Therapeutic intention – designed to support mental and emotional balance (stress, anxiety, depression, transitions) rather than fitness or advancing postures.
Integration of tools – combines movement, breathwork, meditation, and deep rest with a therapeutic lens, not just physical exercise.
Collaborative process – unlike a class or private session that follows a sequence or skill-building path, yoga therapy adapts moment-to-moment to meet you exactly where you are.
Yoga Therapy Can Support You With
Stress, anxiety, and burnout – calming and grounding practices to regulate your nervous system and restore ease.
Mild to moderate depression or emotional imbalance – gentle movement and connection to nurture vitality and resilience.
Life transitions and overwhelm – a safe, supportive space for reflection and balance.
Difficulty relaxing or sleepin568g – restorative postures, breathwork, and Yoga Nidra for deep rest.
Tools You’ll Explore:
Restorative postures and somatic practices to regulate, release, and reconnect.
Breathwork to calm the mind and energize the spirit.
Meditation and Yoga Nidra for emotional reset and relaxation.
Insights into the body–mind connection to strengthen resilience.
No yoga experience? No problem. This program is about you, not performance. We meet you exactly where you are—physically, emotionally, energetically—offering a healing container to remember who you are, beneath the stress.
Invest in your well-being with our 3-session yoga therapy package. We’ll meet weekly or every other week—whichever rhythm feels right for you. This package gives you ongoing support, time to integrate the practices, and the consistency to create meaningful shifts in body and mind.
This program is designed as a gentle supplement to your overall wellness journey—it does not replace mental health treatment. To be sure it’s the right fit, you’ll be invited to complete a short questionnaire and a brief phone consultation with Jana. This helps us ensure that you receive the support most aligned with your needs, creating a safe and nurturing space for healing. While Jana’s counseling background informs her approach, the focus will remain on the practices and principles of Yoga Therapy.

Jana Whiddon, PhD, LMHC, C-IAYT
Yoga Therapist & Licensed Mental Health Counselor
As a Yoga Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I blend the heart of yoga with the depth of mental health counseling to support healing from the inside out. With a PhD in Mental Health Counseling and certification as an Integrative Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT), my approach weaves movement, breath, and mindfulness into a compassionate space for self-discovery. I believe true wellness begins with awareness—learning to listen inward, honor your own rhythms, and reconnect with the wisdom that’s already within you.
