Partner Yoga

Saturday February 18th, 2pm-4pm, $25 per couple

Partner Yoga classes invite participants to have fun and be light in their practice while sharing it with a partner. This is a great opportunity to invite a friend who always talks about trying yoga, but is a bit nervous to just show up at class. It is also amazing for couples to connect and share this deeply personal practice and arena of growth. Please join us for a comforting, supportive, and healing practice that allows both you and your partner to explore balance, strength, flexibility, and gentleness in your yoga poses. In this workshop, partners will support one another and mirror poses to heighten awareness, cultivate compassion, and create a deeper sense of connection.

Yoga Nidra

Sunday February 26th, 4p-5p, $10

Yoga Nidra or Yogic Sleep is a state of conscious deep sleep.  It brings an incredible calmness, quietness, and clarity.    All muscular, emotional, and mental tensions are released in yoga nidra and thus it is highly beneficial for people suffering from ailments such as hypertension, stress, diabetes, migraines, depression, anxiety, digestive disorders, and skin diseases that are caused by the tensions in the body and mind.  Most people think that relaxation is very simple; just recline and close your eyes. You are tired so you go to bed and think that is relaxation.  Unless you have released your muscular, mental and emotional tensions, you are never relaxed. Even while sleeping the worries and thoughts revolve continuously in the mind and the tense person wakes up feeling exhausted. That’s exactly where yoga nidra helps. Yoga nidra is a systematic way of relaxing your body, mind and intellect.

Yoga 101

Saturday March 3rd, 2pm-4:30pm, $25

This is a workshop perfect for those who are new to yoga or who want a deeper understanding of yoga history, philosophy, benefits, and postures. We will focus on the following: Introduction to the history of yoga, yoga philosophy, benefits of yoga from a physiological and psychological perspective, and a special focus on several of the physical postures. This workshop is perfect for anyone, even those who have never practiced yoga.

Hot Yoga Intensive

with Jana Whiddon & Giavanna Geraci

Saturday March 17, 1p-3p, $25

Expand your knowledge of the Hot yoga series.  We will work in a WARM (not hot) room practicing each pose in detail and outlining the benefits of each.  We will begin with a brief practice of the poses to warm up the body then return to the initial pranayama and work through each pose in detail.  You will learn about the nuances of the poses and modifications specific to your body type and practice level.  This is an excellent way to learn the poses to expand and advance your yoga practice.
